Tote bag sewing pattern

A little bag with two handles. Drafted to your doll’s size and printed on woven cotton (it doesn’t stretch), so you cut it out and sew it with no paper pattern.

Sewn up, and the panel it prints on for an 18-inch doll: the pieces with their cut lines and notches, and the instructions along the bottom. Move over the panel (or tap it) for a closer look.

How to sew it

Printed along the bottom of your panel:

  1. Press each handle’s long edges in on the dotted lines, fold it in half on the middle one and topstitch.
  2. Fold each bag piece’s top edge under on the dotted line. Tuck both ends of one handle under it, evenly spaced, untwisted; stitch. Fold the handle up, stitch across each end again.
  3. Place the bag pieces right sides together, handles clear of the seams. Sew the sides and bottom, leaving the top open. Turn right side out.
