Tank top sewing pattern

No sleeves, opens at the back. Drafted to your doll’s size and printed on woven cotton (it doesn’t stretch), so you cut it out and sew it with no paper pattern.

Sewn up, and the panel it prints on for an 18-inch doll: the pieces with their cut lines and notches, and the instructions along the bottom. Move over the panel (or tap it) for a closer look.

How to sew it

Printed along the bottom of your panel:

  1. Make small, shallow snips in the neckline and armhole allowances only where needed to turn smoothly, well short of the dotted line. Turn them to the wrong side on it; stitch or glue. Hem the back edges and bottom.
  2. Fold on the dotted lines at the shoulders, right sides together. Sew the side seams, matching notches.
  3. Turn right side out. Mark the back overlap on the doll, take the top off, then sew on hook-and-loop tape.
